Our story

At Get Along Little Doggies, we are country folks with big hearts for the most awesome companions on earth – miniature dachshunds! We raise these dogs because we love them! Our dogs are our pride and joy, and we are happy to know that our puppies will bring the same joy to your homes over the years to come as our dogs bring to us every day!

We are a small, home-based operation located in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains in Northcentral Arkansas. Over the years, our puppies have most often gone to forever homes in Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, Missouri, Louisiana, or Texas, but we have had folks drive from as far away as Eastern Kentucky or fly in from Massachusetts or Arizona to pick up one of our little sweethearts! And, who can blame them, if we do say so ourselves!

We have beautiful dachshund puppies who have been carefully bred for great temperament, intelligence, and fun and loving personalities. Each and every one of them is born and raised in our home. Momma Kay oversees their deliveries, and she and the rest of the family (including a toddler and the family cat!) talk to them and play with them every single day. We have a rainbow of colors available and some with rare brindle and dapple patterns, as well. All of our dogs are of the long-haired variety, because that is what we are partial to ourselves.

Our little furballs go to their forever homes well socialized and ready to become a joyous member of their new families. They start out their lives in a birthing crate in our guest room. When they are able to move around well on their own, they and their mother move into The Puppy Corral, which has taken over much of our dining room! There, they have plenty of room to romp through their crinkle tunnel and play with the ‘pupicizer’ that Poppa Roger built for them, along with lots of other fun toys. That’s also where they begin their potty pad training.It is important to us that our miniature dachshunds go to good homes. We ask that you only contact us if you intend to make your puppy a furever part of your family. Doxies are family!
